TAN GAGE

To check Total Acid Number in used hydraullic and turbine oils

The TAN Gage determines the acidic constitutents (TAN Value) in used hudraulic & industrial oils and indicates if it is above the rejection limit or not. Acidic constituents come from oxidation of the oil, in use. Level increases with use. If TAN value exceeds the limit, the oil would cause corrosive wear and promote deposits and sludge. Exact level of acidity in hydraulic & industrial oils can be checked on reguylar basis and oils changed once it reaches the critical value.
